We are very excited about offering this unique conference to our transplant professional community. The UNOS Primer will be held at the Omni Hotel in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip district. View the agenda.
Sessions are divided into transplant center (TXC) and organ procurement organization (OPO) professional pathways. To encourage professionals with all levels of experience to attend, breakout sessions are listed as 101 (foundational early career knowledge) and 201 (deeper experienced career knowledge).

About the Primer
The goals of the UNOS Primer are to:
- Enhance the transplant center and OPO professional’s knowledge of UNOS/OPTN processes, policies and methodologies, ultimately benefiting their program, recipients and donors.
- Foster knowledge sharing and open discussion in support of effective practices, challenges and quality improvements through collaboration.
- Provide an environment that meets the educational needs of participants, regardless of their donation or transplantation job function or level of experience.
- Engage participants with opportunities for discussion with UNOS staff and other attendees through dialogue, breakout sessions, plenary sessions, and networking.
